It was formerly the Holmes Players, which began in 1966. Mrs. Jancen Pat- terson is the sponsor. This organiza- tion has participated in many drama activities and play productions, both in school and out. including the senior class play, “Annie, Get Your Gun.” There arc no certain requirements for membership, as any student is eligible to join. Club members have participat- ed in UIL speech and drama contests. Art Club displays talent by painting a window for Car Clearance Carnival. Mr. Clark and Mrs. Barneby inspect new workroom. Art Club mural pays tribute to sports. Art Club members’ enjoyment of art led them to use their skills in sev- eral areas. Works of art benefited the community as well as the school. They painted a backdrop for the senior play, “Annie Get Your Gun,” and participated in Yukon days by sell- ing many of their art works. The club has expanded its talents in the Manor Baptist Church where they painted the nursery hall. Members of the art club took first prize of $100 for painting a window display at Chrysler-Plymouth City’s annual showcase contest. Their contributions of art projects to the school have given the art club much recognition. I M ill i
