The Golden Voice Choir The Golden Voice Choir directed by Mr. Arthur Winden had many activities during the year. The Annual Fall Concert and the Christmas Concert entertained both parents and students. In individual UIL competition Mark Blakcncy was First Baritone, Charles Hoag placed as First Al- ternate Tenor and Kccly Ridgeway First Alternate Bass. In the UIL contest Holmes got a sec- ond rating in contest music and a third rating in sight reading. The Choir got new robes this year. They were financed by a car wash, bake sale, and candy sale. 2 98 - f

1 Zero Club The Zero Club is the only student spir- it club at Holmes for both boys and girls. It is the largest club organization at Holmes. This year they attended all major sports events. During Yukon Days they operated the “Car-Bash” to give students an opportunity to let out their frustra- tions against Marshall.
