Tribute to Holmes- - Holmes Bible College stands as a monument of faith in God. Since its founding over half a century ago, its needs, in every sphere, have been supplied. Students, expected to pay no more than they could, have gone from this great institution to bless the world as ministers, missionaries, and Christian workers. The benefits they enjoyed while in this school have been, l think most of them will agree, fundamental to any success they achieved. The sacrifice of one man has meant the salvation of countless souls in dif- ferent parts of this vast world. These might never have heard about our Savior had N. J. Holmes not been willing to give up earthly wealth and fame in ex- change for eternal riches. Abundant progress characterizes Holmes Bible College. God has kept His hand upon the college year by year, step by step, and today, under the leader- ship of Dr. Paul F. Beacham, it stands as an edifice of TRUTH - the truth that makes us free. As we, the Class of l956, take our departure from this Bible College, there are mingled within our hearts gratitude and regret, happiness and remorse for things done and not done during our terms as students. Moreover, when we try to comprehend that which has been embedded in our hearts, and when we rec- ognize our responsibility to convey this TRUTH to those whom we shall serve, we stand in awe. To this treasured institution and her beloved president we leave this tribute: For what we may accomplish as servants of God, we acknowledge the ascendant influence of Holmes Bible College, a GREAT monument of faith in God.
