V ..,.,.. Librarian Our Library The library of Holmes Bible College is a great lamp of learning which is maintained primarily for the benefit of the faculty and student body. lt is a place of universal knowledge where one can enter its quiet portals and dig into its vast storehouse of wisdom and emerge a more enlightened and useful person. Our library is not only helpful to the student but to all causes which the student serves now or here- after. It promotes Christian education, the assimilation of historical information, interest in civic and gov- ernmental affairs as well as an interest in the psychological and sociological fields. It is a tool which may be used for innumerable good causes in the promotion of an enlightened civilization. Page Fifty-Four

OFFICERS - FIRST SEMESTER NANCY LINKOUS, President EVELYN CHAPMAN, Vice President J 2 fl AUDREY POOLE, Secretary-Treasurer ' ' ANN McKEEL, Prayer Chaplain PROGRAM COMMITTEE LOUISE CAVENAUGH YVONNE BROWN LUCY HOLMES SOCIETY N loving memory of Mrs. Lucy Simpson Holmes, the Lucy Holmes Society was organized for the purpose of promoting Christian fellowship among the girls and encouraging the building of character for Christ. Our Challenge is given to us by Paul in I Timothy 4:l2, who exhorts us to be an example of the believer in word,in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Our four organized prayer groups, which meet consecutively once a week, are a great aid in our spiritual life. Our theme song, Make Me a BIessing, beautifully describes the design of our society in the past, our purpose in the present, and shall remain our theme in our future promotion of Christ's Kingdom. ,, , OFFICERS-SECOND SEMESTER ., 44 l 1+ - - -f x.-We f ' 1 Louise CAVENAUGH, President YVONNE BROWN, Vice President MELVINE STEWART, Secretary-Treasurer MAXINE JONES, Prayer Chaplain PROGRAM COMMITTEE AUDREY POOLE RUTH DOWNING BARBARA MYERS syn, , fa I-4 'I Y
