They were outstanding in their field and did not have to be a senior. The sport of the year would have to be Tennis. The tennis team was the first championship team at Hollywood Hills. They were gracefully coached by the coach of the year, Gene Maupin. Out of the 11 MVP's, live are Juniors. The six Seniors are Dent, Fullerton, Perry, Bartko, Yellin, and Anderson. 249

Sure enough after coming off an inexperience season in 1969-70 they split their meets with a final record of 13-13, boys and girls combined. The boys were 7-6 while the girls were 6-7. This reason was due partly to Debbie Sharkey and Mark Hertig. They both swam well and scored high in points. Coach Steeves will be glad they are both coming back for the next season. Some boys coming out late hurt the chances of breaking .500.
