V x Cross Countr runners had a This year's Cross Country team was much improved over last year's team. The big meet of the year was against Chaminade. In that meet were the two top runners in the county. Dennis Skelton of Chaminade and our own Steve Martucci. With a strong kick at the end of the race, Steve was able to defeat Skelton very easily. Although the Spartans lost the meet, Mr. Davis could at least look forward to a good year. He did have a good year as he was able to break .500. The only top runner he will lose from graduation is Pat McNamara and Eric Sears.
