The Future Farmers of America, or FFA as it is commonly known, is the national organiza- tion of, by, and for boys studying vocational agriculture in public secondary schools under the provisions of the National Vocational Education Acts. Membership in the National FFA is approximately 450, 000 members, with 10,000 local chap- - ters in the 50 states and Puerto Rico. The membership in Louisiana is approximately ll, O00 mem- bers. It is composed of students who must possess: Leadership, Scholarship, Service, and Character. The students who are members receive one of the greatest honors a high school student will ever have. llunig During the past year the Holly Ridge Key Club has had a candy sale, held a turkey and dressing supper, and collected money to send a student to college over the summer. The Key Club raises the flag in the C1 b morningshand takes it down in the afternoons. The main achievement for u this year's Key Club is to plant rose bushes along the school walk.
