faculty The opening of school for the 1955-54 term brought many new faces to the classrooms of H-Burg, but it didn't take the eager hard- working, sophomores long to get into the swing. Many changes have occurred in the faculty this year. Miss Davis, American llistory teacher, was replaced by Miss Heppe. Chemistry teacher, Mr. Miller, was replaced by Mr. Lindsey. Mrs. Saylor, English teacher, replaced Nliss Hess. Mrs. Saylor is the sophomore adviser. Miss McGregor, music teacher, was replaced by Miss Ross. Nliss Langham replaced Mrs. Gallagher, Mr. Iones' secretary. Two other members were added to the faculty this year. Mr. Christian, a former graduate of H-Burg, teaches mathematics and acts as sopho- more adviser. llc is also lunior Iligli assistant basketball coach and Senior lligh baseball coach, due to the resignation of Nlr. llarden, who formerly held that position. Nliss Klingel- hoeffer, who teaches English, is the other new member. The faculty has taken active part in noontime activities. Special credit goes to the faculty basketball team. Participating in the games were: Mr. Harden, Mr. Durbin, Mr. Dively, Nlr. Hill, Mr. Christian, and two student teachers, Dflr. Cummings and Wir. Melnieck. The students downed the faculty by a score of 15-10 in the first game, but the faculty came through with a 22-14 victory in the second game. The faculty picnic was held at Riggles Gap. They attended a Christmas dinner which was held in the high school gymnasium. The annual banquet will be held in the spring. .S'l.mdlu11.'
