If it had not been for the tireless efforts of the faculty, only a halffhearted interest would have been taken in the various school activities. Their help in the production of the senior class play and the class parties was greatly appreciated by the students. Their efforts have made possible a bigger and better variety of sports, studies, and extra curricular ac' tivities. During the past year the faculty has undergone many changes. Miss Margery Reed, junior English teacher and girls' adviser, tendered her resignation. She was succeeded by Mrs. Helen Louise Sellers. Mrs. Sellers is a graduate of Penn State and formerly taught at Hollidaysburg junior High School. Miss Ethel Berkey, Spanish and English teacher, has replaced aculty Assist Miss Kunkle who has taken a similar position in New jersey. Miss Berkey is a graduate of Juniata College and taught previously at Conemaugh Town' ship High School, Davidsville. Another new member of the faculty is Mr. Robert Dively. Mr. Dively graduated from Millersville State Teachers College and has taught at Georgetown High School, Delaware. Mr. Dively has replaced Mr. George Dietrich as shop instructor. Because of illness, Miss Sylvia Dale left her position as girls' physical education teacher early in the term. Mrs. janet DeMuth, who has taken her place, is a graduate of Slippery Rock State Teachers College. Miss Betty Kiracofe was selected to teach the new general home economics course. Miss Kiracofe is xi graduate of Juniata College. Miss Reed, seated left, discusses college catalog with Miss Leamer, standing left, Miss Silknetter, standing right, and Miss Berkey, seated right.
