F OREWORD An adequate, well-constructed school building speaks well for the community in which it is located, but it does not make a school. Carl Sandburg, in his poem Sky- scraperf', says it is the men and women, boys and girls, who give the building a soul of dreams, and thoughts, and mem- ories. Each parent, teacher, and student contributes to that soul and brings about a thing we call school spirit.
