Sum Elan Wddtozq On September 12 1949 seventeen reen Freshmen entered Hollandale H1gh School S1nce the schoo burned that summer we went to the Commun1tyBu1ld1n and began our h1gh school careers there Class off1cers were res1dent Vlrglnla Burns V1ce Presldent Mar1lyn Massey Secretary Treasurer Nancy Fltz slmmons Joan Vosberg and Pat Pa1zk1l1 were our Student Coun E11 recpresentatwes and Mary Thon1 represented us on the Student our On September 23rd we were made off1c1a1members of the hlgh school by the a1m1ghty sen1ors at an 1n1t1at1on party We all pertormed stunts but survwed and enjoyed an evemng of dancmg and refreshments In September 1950 we began as Sophomores We lost Jack Harrmgton and Tom Lord but we a1ned Donald Wmeson Theresa Sorocco and Judy I-Iendr1ckson C ass off1cers were Pres1dent Treasurer Pat Palzk1ll Mary Thon1 and Nancy F1tzs1mmons were our Student Counc11 representatlves Last September 1951 we entered h1gh school as upperclassmen Junlors Thls was to be a great year for us We were to choose a Prom K1ng or Queen and select our class rm s R1chard Mc Kenz1e was chosen Pres1dent so he automat1ca ly became Kmg V1ce Pres1dentwas J1mLord andSecretary Treasurer wasNancy F1tzs1mmons Vlrglnla Burns and Ralph Jackson were elected to Student Counc11 Judy Hendrxckson replaced Ralph later smce we lost both he and Carol Boe 1n March Mxss Schuh was our class adv1sor In December we rece1ved our class rmgs wh1ch we are all very proud of and always w1l1 be On May 2nd we held our Prom Moonllght and Roses was the theme and 11: was carr1ed out w1th a blue and aqua false ce1l1ng and Amerlcan Beauty roses R1chard MCKCHZIC and Leone Retrum re1gned as K1ng and Queen Layton Bla1ne furn1shed the mus1c On the 23rd of March the new school was ded1cated and we moved mto lt 1n Apr11 Th1s was a happy and memorable day for a We came back to school on September 2 1952 as a1m1ghty Sen1ors Patty F1tzs1mons d1d not come back to complete her sen1or year w1th us Class off1cers Pres1dent Donald W1esen V1ce Presldent Marllyn Massey Secretary Treasurer V1rg1n1a Wh1tford V1rg1n1aBurnswas chosen as Student Counc11 Presldent and Rlchard MCKSHZIC as our representatlve On October 17 we had our Homecommg The football team played Barneveld w1th a great v1ctory for us We defeated them Z1 to 13 Hal Mack furn1shed the mus1c for the dance that mght In December we p1cked out our caps and gowns We also or dered our name cards and announcements Baccalaureate serv1ces w1l1 be held May Z4 On May 29 we the class of '53 end our happy h1gh school careers 'x ,f 1 A C 1 at 7 kb Q Aff f Luv' ffl! 1 Ulf, ' A ,QW Y 1.
