Kleppe Twenty three Freshmen entered Hollandale H1gh School 1n Septem ber of 1950 It was the largest class 1n many years Class off1cers were chosen the f1rst day Donna Doran was elected Pres1dent, and Maryln Klosterman V1ce presrdent The Secretary treasurer was Mar1on Steensland Representat1ves onthe Student Coun c1l from our class that year were Joe Klarer, Mar1on Steensland, and Lo1s Carter In1t1at1on was held two weeks later Everyone enjoyed the stunts and the dancmg afterwards Th1s year fmds us all returnlng w1th one new member, Peter Thompson Th1s year's off1cers are Leatr1ce Retrurn, Pres1dent, Joe Klarer, V1ce pres1dent, and Lo1s Carter as the Secretary treasurer Representat1ves on the Student Counc1l th1s year are, Larry Werer, Jeanette Solberg, and Donna Doran Jeanette Solberg 15 also an off1 cer on the Student Counc1l She 1S Secretary . . . 1 - 9 4 9 - 0 0 I ' 4 , . . . - 0 5 u n - I ' I ' I ' ' ' , Q . McKinz1e Se cond Row P F1tzs1mons I Hendnckson L Retrum C Boe N F1tzs1mmons V Whitford D Wlesen The f1rst week of September 1n 1949 seventeen freshmen started then' h1gh school years 1n the Commun1ty Bu1ld1ng wh1ch was the new h1gh school headquarters The f1rst party of the year was g1ven 1n our honor It was of course 1n1t1at1on We were glven qu1te a hard t1me and accepted as members of the h1 h school from then on ln September e950 we agam started school We started w1thout Jack Harr1ngton and Tom Lord we d1d however galn Donald Welsen and Theresa Sorocco Joan Vosberg and Jack Holcomb left us 1n March Our Class offlcers were as follows Jack Holcomb Pres1dent Judy Hendr1ckson, V1ce presldent and Patty Palzk1ll Secretary treasurer Mary Thom and Nancy F1tz1mmons were on the Student Counc1l Th1s year as we started school we were now upper classmen A Class meetmg was held Th1s was an 1nterest1ng meetmg as It would dec1de just who was to be our Prom Kmg or Prom Queen Rxchard Mc Kenzle was elected Pres1dent so he automatlcally became K1ng J1m Lord was elected V1ce pres1dent Nancy F1tz1mmons Secretary Ralph Jackson and V1rg1n1a Burns were elected to the Student Counc1l Judy Hendrmkson replaced Ralph on the Student Counc1l We Have chosen May Second as the date for the Prom and Layton Blalne to furrush the mus1c I . , . , . , . , . , u 1 0 , . n 1 . . . . . . 9 Q 1 1 s 0 1 G l ' , . . 9 i Q U I g - . , . 3 I D , Q .
