I About this time was the closing of all the basketball games f L 5' A and the winning of the Diehlstadt Tournament. After this happened, 1 I ' the Rotary Club gave both boys and girls basketball squad a big f Q supper. After the supper they all danceda f Instead of the regular annual senior play, the Juniors and it 4 seniors presented the 'Happy Hollow Minstrel' on the night of March I, :ii 28. This play proved very successful. It provided for much laugh- ' 2, ' ter and applause. It was quite successful financially, too. The , V proceeds were divided between the two classes. The Juniors used I ' fy' their part to finance the Junior-Senior Banquet, and the .Seniors j . I for their Senior trip. 5 - '4 The Juniors were host to the Seniors, Faculty and Members of I n the School Board at the annual Junior-Senior Banquet and Prom on f A pg Friday,AApril 25. Because of such a large number attending, it 1 ' Y was necessary that it be held in the gymnasium instead of the Home I Economics building. The gym was beautifully decorated with spring 5 J flowers and the school colors, black and gold. The tables were I S 'especially attractive with their bowls of flowers, colorful place I f cards, and black and gold candles. The favors, animal puzzles, X , 'provided entertainment with their novelty, and the boy and girl 1 , graduate nut cups found much favor. 5 The banquet was served by the sophomore home economics class. I t They did a splendid Job as was shown by the way the food was con- I 1 sumed. 5 After the banquet, the gymnasium was cleared for the dance. if The dance was one of- the most gala affairs of the season. Instead 1' of using the F F A Boys' record player for music, an orchestra was n on hand to 'give out' with merry music. The orchestra was a new f 1 attraction for our school prom, since we hadn't had one in several .2 g , years, and the guests felt quite grateful to ,the Junior Class for arranging for one. 7 , I k when time came for the dance to end and 'Champ Gilliand and 3 1 5 His Players' started putting away their musical instruments, the -. dancers were still clamoring for more music. f ' 'Y ' x' f A As they reluctantly left they all voiced their opinion that ' X J this was the best banquet and dance yet. f - J X kg I s J X I f , Q C 1 , A Q 4 6 2 ' , l e .
