We have had fifty I members all the year. Before we learned the rules of the - It school, we got into some rather tight places. Now that we ' A have learned our way around and have become adjusted, we A like it very much and enjoy being here, even though we are 1 ' Ni ? L the underdogs and get pushed around. A . We especially are pleased with the governing body of V 4 the high school, because it gives us an opportunity to have l W a voice in the school affairs. Robert Baird and Meredith CA 5 Brandon represent our class on this governing body, the ' Student Council. E We are also proud of our basketball teams. We played 1 several schools in the county, winning most of the time. X I A Our girls tied' the Senior girls in the Class Tournament, Q ' but were finally defeated at the second attempt to play off ' the tie. The boys played the Senior boys, and were defeated A rather badly. But after all we are 'Just eighth graders, and I X f they are Seniors. f j V, At our Masquerade Party, one of our members, Joan Wor- A f, I rell, won the prize for being the most uniquely dressed. , vgw-L,j::AX This was an all-school party and Joan had some strong com- .. ,V,,1 H - AAA ,, petition.
