V if Among these forty-five only eight of the original crew re- I , main. They are Anne Jackson, Margaret Cannon, Marie Cannon, up ,' Sammy Reeves, .Toe Correll, Raymond Kenley, Guyendale Potts, f f and Max Sherwood. Mrs. Lorene Pierce was' our Pilot the L, 1 first year. f A X The second year Natalie Nunnery and Rose Edna Frazer 3 I climbed aboard, while the next year Valree Jackson, William I' Harrison and Marvin Childers joined the crew. le sailed , , along, not picking up any of our present crew, until our if fifth year when Faye Proctor, Royce Gray and Bobby Ashley , attached themselves to us. During the eighth year Barbara Q f Whittle, Charles Parrish, Louise Ballard and Reba Beckett , 6 joined us. f ' During our 'green year' our crew was increased to its ,n greatest number since our first year. Hazel Fry, Dolly I li Thompson, Pansy Manley, and Jack Spencer all came aboard. ' As we sailed along through our 'Silly Sophie' year, Doris Haye, Dorothy Stewart and Harvie Watkins joined us. Now, ' during our Jolly Junior semi-dignified year, we are proud V' of the addition of Nadine Kiddy, Rosey Ethridge and Janet I Riffey. 3 With such an able crew we have no qualms whatsoever about being able to steer successfully through our senior year.. We just hope we can keep our complete crew. This we feel we can do if we can elude Dan Cupid. Already he has played havoc with us. Mildred Binkley was one of our members until she became a victim of said Cupid. Now she is Mrs. Russell Copeland. The army, too, has enticed one of our members away. Jack Spencer, our outstanding mathe- matician, is now in Korea. Raymond Kenley was a G. I. part of this year, but fortunately he has returned to our midst. One of our original crew we lost because of her decision to finish high school in three years--Anne Samford Wilson. We still feel Anne partly belongs to us. For our first year in high school, Mrs. McKinney was our Pilot and Guide. For DUI' sophomore year and again this year Miss Slaten has helped us to keep our oars pulling together with harmony and enough speed to keep us living up to our motto: 'Forever 0nward.
