Our Dutch swimmers finished the season with a perfect 16-0 dual meet record, captured the regional title, and placed Sth in the state meet. The team had their 3rd consecutive perfect record and their 2nd Big 7 championship. A. Karen Kooyers modestly hops out of the water after another win. B. Barb Miller takes the lead. C. julie Barkel has the smile of confidence. D. Nancy Vandewater watches as the oppo- nents finish behind her.

B: Dave Vander Kooy crosses the bridge. C: Cal Taylor shows winning form. It is impossible to talk about this year's Cross Country Team without talking about improvement. This improvement was seen in the indivi- dual runners as well as in the overall team record. The team had a G6 sea- son record, placed 7th in regionals, and was the Ottawa County champ. Frank Yarde, the team's number 1 runner, placed 15th in regionals and qualified for state competition. One of the highlights for this yearis team was being victorious over Holland Christian for the first time in 7 years.
