HORIZON CLUB With the Horizon cabinet co-ordinating the projects of the 12 groups, these girls have sponsored many activities during the school year. The Christmas formal, the Cotton Cottillion, and the sweater dances after football and basket- ball games are the main social functions which they plan, This year a program of placing earnings from the sweater dances into a scholarship fund for Horizon girls is being considered. Sally Houtman, Pat Zueilyke, ATHLETIC SISTERS Thirty-nine girls, thirteen from each class, make up the membership of the Athletic Sisters, After each member selects a partner with whom to sell, various duties such as the selling of popcorn, hotdogs. candy, and pop are assigned to them. This year the members sold only at the football games due to the small profit and hindrance to the spectators at the basketball games. After one year of service each Athletic Sister receives a letter, and from the elected sophomores three permanent members are chosen, who later are honored with a pin in their senior year. H-CLUB The H-Club, open to all boys who have won varsity letters, is a very active organization in Holland High School. With profits from its milk, paper, and pencil machines. the club purchased a golf net for indoor practice, and plans to send cheerleaders to summer camp. The group also co-sponsored informal dances with G.A.A., and for the hrst year gave the Varsity Ball. a spring formal dance open to all students. Margo Munro. DUTCH DANCE There were over 500 girls in Dutch Dance this year. These girls add to the Tulip Time Festival with their bright, colorful costume and folk dances. Performances made by the girls included dancing in the parades and night time appearances. In addition to the regular Dutch Dance groups there were two experimental groups which gave special performances and did substitution work.
