Text from Pages 1 - 182 of the 1972 volume:

' I N Wait, thou child of hope, for Time shall teach thee all things. Martin Farquhar Tupper 1972 EIGHT ACRES DEDICATED TO IANE M. PRYOR IANE M. PRYoR In a faculty known for its capable, warm teachers, lane Pryor stood out. We all felt a kind of respect for jane that is reserved for those few who live a life of Christian example. Headmaster Herbert B. Moore admitted difficulty finding words to capture Mrs. Pryor's commitment to her students. She was one of twelve teachers who led a move to establish the Faculty Fund for Scholarships. Her devotion to her students is still being expressed in the lane M. Pryor Memorial Scholarship fund. As she said last October, HI look forward to getting up each morning because I love teaching at this school. This may have been the secret of her success as a teacherg she taught through her own life style - through showing her students the beauty of living a life based upon caring for others. Mrs. Pryor's ten years of teaching at Holland Hall have not endedg only her ph sical presence left us when she died December 13, 1971. N0 one who knew ffer remained unaffected. She will continue to be a strong influence through the values she taught and lived by. Losing her physical presence and her charm has left an emptiness in the hearts of many. But we have lost something more. We have lost a lady. JF 4 W I ,Her I f Cher A n der Sf 5' ,af , 9 ag G- .,,, .V J 5-ji. . - ' faq. 4 fl .fb ' W 'K X .
