We, as the Senior Class and student body of Holland Christian High School, want to take this opportunity to bid farewell to MR. WAYNE K. DORNBUSH. During his stay at Hol- land Christian, he has taught general business, bookkeeping, and business mathematics and was the able sponsor of the Class of '54. We regret his departure but as he has left the teaching profession to enter business, we wish him God's richest blessing in his new vocation. Clfellleff. . We bid farewell to Miss JOSEPHINE D13 VRIES who is going to enter the very honorable profession of house- keeping. In her two years at H.C.H.S. Miss De Vries has taught Freshman and Sophomore English. Although none of the seniors have been in any of her classes we have come to think very highly of her from her presiding over the study halls and meeting her in the halls. We wish her God's blessings on her future.

0l eLU0l The purpose of our Christian High School is to give the students a Christian education. This education is presented to the students from a Christian point of view and made clear through the light of the Word of God. It is a school in which the students are taught to love their fellowmen, to love their country, and to love and honor God. Our Christian High School teaches that education must be used to the glory of God and to teach the student to walk to please God. Now, as we leave the familiar halls of Holland Christian High and bid farewell to our Alma Mater, We realize that We are leaving behind us footprints in the sands of time. Looking to the future we see the darkness of uncertainty and we begin to realize the importance of a Christian education. We feel the need of protectiong for an armor which will shield us from uncertainty: therefore let us cast off this darkness and let us put on the armor of light leaving behind us footprints in the paths of righteousness.
