As you depart and go your various ways, it is well to reflect on the blessings which have been yours during the past four years. Your Christian education has demanded the expenditure of vast energies on the part of your instructors, sacrificial giving by your parents, much planning by administrators. We hope and pray that the consecrated efforts toward your preparation for true living may prove to be a good investment. We are looking for spiritual dividends. As you leave this Christian institution, we shall be watching each of you. We desire to have your lives characterized by four specihc qualities. First, We want to see the attitude of Reverence. This is the quality that ought to be seen in young people Whose lives have been touched by the Spirit of Cod. You must have reverence for God, for His Christ, for His Church, for His Truth. A second virtue we long to see in you is Refinement. This is more than mere politeness or social grace. lt is that quality which shows that we have come under the refining influence of Iesus' personality. The apostle says, HYe have the mind of Christfl True refinement is Christ-likeness? The third quality we desire in you is the spirit of Reliance. Our strength to live the Christian life comes from lesus Christ. True sell-reliance is attained only through the prac- tice of God-reliance. You will be successful in your chosen task in life only when you look to Cfod for power. Finally, the spirit of Readiness ought to be seen in you. Christ calls us to service in all realms of life, No area may be left untouched by his presence. We must be ready to do his bidding in all domains of life. jesus was ready to give himself for you. Are you ready to dedicate your lite to Him? OLIVER BREEN, President 8
