Under experienced guidance and with capable orhcers it has become an efficient and smooth-working organization. The goal of the Student Council is to improve relations between the students and the administration-a job which it has accomplished with marked success. The students of Holland Christian High School have welcomed a student administration in which they are represented and to which they may make recommendations or flle complaints. Already the Student Council has assumed .many of the duties previously administered by the taculty and Mr. Holwerda. Through the Student Council, students receive valuable training that will enable them to assume the responsibilities of our democracy success- fully. The Student Council has organized the Pep Club, conducted clean-up campaigns, and sponsored drives for the Red Cross, March of Dimes, and National Union of Christian Schools. They were also instrumental in organizing Career Day. Officers this year are: President - Henry Holstege Vice President - - Calvin Bolt - Lois Veltkamp Secretary - - - Elsa Zwiep Treasurer -------- The faculty adviser who devotes much time and energy to the success of the Student Council is Mr. Henry j.
