QBefcre-Jfelevisionl, a sizable poup of poor little mixed- ' up kids plodded into the sacred halls of Holgate 8131, eager to attain a deeper knowledge or civilised social existence. Chesides, it was conpulscryl. Finally, after eight years, we emerged from our sea of stupidity and . , bewilderment and entered into s vastly, lore cqslioated universe--HIGH SCHOOL. Besides our curriculum of educational devices, QW of us engged in extra- .lf , curricular activities such as baseball, basketball, and band, and nude an effort If toward draxutics, CCns-Act Playsb. We seriously began to scrutinize the possibilities of raising money. This was done through our class dues, as well as the sale of the products of our mothers culinary ability Chke Salesl. We also had a dance on which we cleaned up, financially speaking. HBH. All this was done with the help or toleration of lb. Deckrosh, our advisor. Suddenly we found ourselves in the Sophomore year, with all its prestige over the mere Freshman Class. This year was meh more lively, with many of our numbers attaining the age of driveris license. Qt course, our athletes were still busily developing their prowess at their chosen diversions. We all pitched in a little harder in any task that would reward us with filthy lucre Cmoneyl. Some of these were bake sales, dances, and a big Donut Drive at the end of the year. During the interlude of learning Kschoolyearl several of us performed in the one - act plays. The next year foxmd us sitting in the 'Junior' row, with llr. Gisler as our new advisor. This year was even busier than last. Ie ordered our class rings, then waited with very great patience. When we had torn about all our hair out, they arrived. For the next week or so, we went about attracting attention by dropping sly hints, such as Boy, it's hot, in here,..think I'l1 take ny ring off. In the way of raising money, we worked in the concession stand at basketball games, had several bake sales, a Donut Sale, raffled off several cakes, and a radio at basketball games. Several were in the one-act plays. In the spring, we gave our Glass Play, The Atomic Blonde , which was a rip-snorting success. We wound up the year with our Junior-Senior Banquet, which was a lot of work, but even more fun. Another summer passes and we are back again. This time, in the hallowed position of Khold your breath! Seniors. We started off the year with an Ice Cream Social. Later we had a Donut Sale. Then came our Senior Play, Shoot the Works , which was another success. Then, one day a representative from the B. 62 O. gave us a talk about our trip, and, after a little discussion Cmore like a Cival Warl we decided that we would go to Washington , New York and Niagara Falls. We are now looking forward to this year's banquet and our trip. After that we will go out into the cruel cold world to IBKS our fortunes and help make the world a better place in which to live. ,ef I I 4 1 if k .
