5- l gag ep of tk? year The member of the faculty chosen as TEACHER OF THE YEAR for 1965-66 has not always served in that capacity. For a number of years she was secretary of the First Methodist Church in Hampton, Iowa. Prior to that she taught several years in the public schools of Iowa. She holds both B.A. and M.S. degrees from Iowa State, and is one of the most versatile teachers at Holding, teaching both Latin and Mathematics and at the same time serving as bookkeeper and as chairman of the Discipline Committee. In spite of these many duties, she is never too busy to help students with their personal problems. For these reasons and many others, Miss Frieda Blum has been chosen TEACHER OF THE YEAR FOR 1965-66.
