This year's second form hit the jackpot with the grand total of two members. This may be a very small group, but it is by no means inactive. Killing time in class seems to be a fa- vorite sport with us,-Rmuch to the annoyance of our masters. Hiding and then jumping out on a victim also gives us great pleasure. We are of course always ready with excuses when the homework hasn't quite been finished for startedj. Another feature with us is to tempt our instructors not to give us very much homework by telling them that we are being loaded to the ground with work for other classes. We, as well as the masters, know that this is gener- ally not true, and our temptations usually have no effect on those Qcruelj teachers. In the Fall we, the illustrious members of the Second Form, went out for the Phys-Ed squad, and surprisingly enough we both made the team. This was a great achievement. Before Thanksgiving Albert was chosen for the part of the heroine of a play which was given on the eve of the vacation under the direction of that one and only coach of Dramatics at Holder ness School Mr Charles Abbey In the Winter we both fTerence especially did some skiing -or at least we tried to Then when Spring finally came along Albert was surprised to find himself trying for the baseball squad Terence once again was with the great Phys Ed squad We have also both been elected to the female chorus in lolantbe Even if one of us was born in London and the other in Berlin we ignore our nationalities and are the best of friends You have just read the news of the Second Form of the scholastic year 1940 41 coming to you direct from Holderness School Plymouth N H And now ladies and gentlemen we must pause for the writers identification ALBERT MEISEL and TERENCE MITCHELL 52531 nuff ms? - . . 5 , - y 9 a ' 1 ' y x 1 ' - x 9 . , . . . r - ,fa s Us 1 Q .
