E -1 'S 1 Seated Knowlton Ward Macmtosh Standing Blackwell Rlley R Warner Staples Tl-IE STUDENT COUNCIL The Student Councxl IS composed of the Presldent of the school elected by the students at large and one FCPFCSCHIHIIVC from each form In monthly meetlngs wxth Mr Weld dur mg the past year they talked over problems concernmg the students and although at pres ent they do not have the power to pass school regulatxons they have mxtnated several rules and prnvxleges whxch the faculty has adopted One of thexr Hrst objectxves thns last year has been to mcrease the power and prlvxleges of the student body especnally those of the Snxth Iaorm Along these lmes the mnovatlon of Sxxth Form proctors for seventh perlod study hall and for noon dishes the mamtenance of Snxth form room study pr1v1leges ID the mormng and S1Xth Form coffee after supper on two evenmgs a week are notable successes Both 1n thelr monthly conferences and m speclal meetmgs called by the presxdent they have cooperated wxth the masters by settlmg questxons between the boys and by helplng the enforcement of school rules Fmally they arranged and ran with the help of the Dance Commxttee the Kendall Hall dance and the Mud wmter house party 9 ' 'l Y Y '.
