Marshall attended the National F.F.A. Convention in Kansas City The chapter continued to work at the wildlife area on the John Curtis farm. M r. John Kammeyer Members of the Band, all decked out in their new uniforms, participated I in several home ball games and a few out of town games. In the Marching Con- test at CMSC they received a second place trophy. They held two Annual Concerts during the year: a Winter Concert on January 17 and a Spring Concert on May 3. The Band received a II Rating at both Festival and District Contests, and a I Rating in Sight Reading at the District Contest. Other Festival Ratings were: I Rat- ing: Clarinet Trio, Clarinet Quartet, Flute Trio, Coronet Solo, Wayne Kendrick, Piano Solo, Jane Fisher, Baton Twirling, Doris Jean McLanahan, II Rating: Drum Solo, Doris Stark, Trombone Solo, Clark Lewis, III Rating: Piano Solo, Wayne Kendrick.
