Robert Rupp, Kevin Thomas, Alan Myers, Paul Veatch, Al- phonsus Danler, and Randy Unruh are the state contest par- ticipants in crops, entomology, livestock, dairy, and horticul- ture. Seven freshman boys are standing by a registered Duroc boar that weighs more than the group. Freshman boys are getting acquainted with new born foal. Front, Frank Rosales and Keith Richmeier. Mrs. Sullivan-sponsor is not pictured. Wanda Braun received 3 awards at the Hays art show and Grand Champion at Garden City Juco. Shellie Becker received 3 awards at the Hays art show. Kevin Smith received the Outstanding Art Student award. The art students attended the workshop for outstanding art students in Emporia. They also attended the Annual Spring High School Art Conference and Exhibition at Ft. Hays State, and the League Art Show at the Garden City Community College. Their art work was put on display at the Spring Music Festival in Holcomb. Seventeen awards were received at the Hays show. They received lst place at the Garden City Juco art show. Wanda won lst place in macrame and Jill received lst place in sculpture.
