They also performed for schools in the southwest area in two tours. Dana Boldt received the Most Outstanding Student award. The staff gained experience this year by working with the facilities and computers at the local Garden City Telegram and sell- ing advertising to produce two spe- cial editions. The staff also traveled to Hays to attend the Regional Kan- sas Scholastic Press ssociation's contest where Shellie Becker placed 2nd in advertising layout which qualified her for state competition.
