As Principal, Mr. Mahanor, takes on the respon- sibilities of providing leadership and guidance not only for the faculty but also for all of the students at Holbrook Jr Sr High. DEDICATION Traditionally, the Echo staff of Holbrook Jr. Sr. High School has dedicated the yearbook to a member of the faculty who they feel has gone to incredi- ble lengths for the benefit of the student body, and who has been an all- around asset to the school. Continuing this tradition, the 1987 Echo staff has chosen Mr. Donald Cosgrove as recipient of this dedication. Mr. Cosgrove has been a guidance counselor in Holbrook for only two years, but he has established an excellent relationship with the students. He has shown an equal and genuine concern for the academic and personal welfare of each student, particularly dealing with hysterical seniors over college or job decisions, applications, and scholarships. He willingly gives guidance to any student. He does so without hesita- tion and with a smile on his face. 9

ASSISTANT PRINCIPAL Walter W. Heleen Mr. Walter Heleen and Mr. Kevin Smyth have very difficult jobs. They must maintain order in the school and serve as disciplinarians. These two gentlemen are well-liked and respected by the students of Holbrook Junior-Senior High School because of their personali- ties, impartial attitudes, and their concern for all.
