TO THE CLASS OF 1965: I express my sincere congratulations to you for the successful completion of your public school training. In our democratic society we may avail ourselves of many years of education beyond the twelve years of public education. It need not be a formal type of education. Every experience we meet in daily life presents an opportunity to learn. As you think of the future, think of the words of Charles F. Kettering: “The past is gone and static. Nothing we can do can change it. The future is before us and dynamic. Everything we do will affect it. Every day brings with it new frontiers, in our homes and in our business, if we will only recognize them. We are just at the beginning of progress in eveiy field of human endeavor.” I. D. PRINCIPAL’S MESSAGE In extending my personal congratulations to you as graduates, may I also thank you for your contributions to Holbrook High School during your four years with us. I speak not only for myself but also for the faculty when I say that we feel that you, both individually and collectively, have continued the good work of former classes and have held high the honored name of Holbrook High School. As you leave us for a new phase of your life, please remember that Holbrook High School remains willing to help you in the future if the occasion arises. Build on what you have gained here. Last September the student body and the faculty of Holbrook High School were intro- duced to Dr. John Santosuosso. Dr. Santosuos- so’s work consists of disciplining the student body and administering to the needs of the school. His efficiency in such matters is aug- mented by his desire to be a good friend to each and every student. We certainly accept him as such. Despite his busy schedule, he always finds time for students who need his assistance. His sense of humor and optimistic outlook serve as a daily source of enlightment. Words cannot express our appreciation for his services, but we sincerely hope that he will enjoy many happy years with us. Ntrs. Elizabeth M. Hartshorn Dr. John Santosuosso Holbrook High School is very fortunate to have the best school secretary on the South Shore. Being both warm and affable, her per- sonality aids her in her daily endeavor to perpetuate a well organized administration. She is a person with a sense of humor and a sporting spirit who always maintains a close relationship with the faculty and the students. 8
