It has been the purpose of the staff of the “Echo” to try and bring to you a jjicture of this year’s events at Holbrook High School. All the special happenings are printed and pictured throughout the book. We hope our efforts will give you an idea of what a year is like at our school. In June, many students will be leaving and going out to new and different worlds of their own. They will be very grateful for their years of hard work and for the satisfaction which they have obtained in the last twelve years of school. For many this will mark the end of formal education, while others will be continuing on to other schools. W e hope that in years to come, when these people read this again, all the friends and good times we have had together will come back to memory.

DEDICATION MISS ANNA DAMON We, the “Echo” staff, with sincerity and regard, wish to dedicate this book to one who has given many of us the all-important inspiration to learn. Miss Anna Damon. In past years. Miss Damon has tried and, we think, succeeded to give us confi- dence in ourselves and our abilities. Her patience and cheerfulness have made a lasting impression on us. As a typing and bookkeeping teacher she is unexcelled. Her pupils have “a debit for every credit” as well as the entire keyboard firmly imprinted on their minds. She has, too, the gratitude of the class treasurers, who have received her advice in many business matters. Therefore, we are extremely honored to be able to display externally with this book our deep thanks and appreciation for Miss Damon. 3
