Fantasy became reality on the evening of May 1st, for the Junior Prom Theme of “An Evening In Fantasyland” pre- sented a magic setting for one of the most exciting evenings of the year. Decorations of a beautiful wishing well, a pink trellis of pastel roses, and tinkerbells provided a setting for the dancers as they whirled about the floor to Ken Reeves’ orchestra. President William White and Secre- tary Donna Baker led the enchanted couples for the Grand March, which was highlighted by the long awaited crown- ing of a King and Queen, namely, David Holden and Nancy Loud. As a remembrance of “An Evening In Fantasyland,’’ blue miniature slippers dotted with lace and roses were given as favors. Thus ended the fantasy as tomorrow became reality. ROW ONE: Jane Bemis, William White, Emily D’Amore, Leo Dube, Linda White, Frank Horton. ROW TWO: Fred Thurberg, Carl Gustafson, James Christian, Camilla Keefe. In December, the senior class presented the rollicking comedy, “Charley’s Aunt.” Confusion came about when two Oxford stu- dents, out of the gay 90’s, persuaded one of their friends to dress up as an old woman— presumably so he would be a “chaperone” when their girls came to tea. However, the plot thickened when the real aunt turned up as well as the ferocious guardian of the two girls. The play would not have been the success that it was without the help of many students and teachers, especially the director, Mr. James Halpin and his assistant, Jane Silver. ‘Do you take sugar and cream?” Jack Chesney Charley Wykeham Lord Fancourt Babberly Donna Lucia D’Alvadorez Kitty Verdun Amy Spettigue Ella Delahay Brassett Stephen Spettigue Sir Francis Chesney William White Frank Horton Leo Dube Camilla Keefe Emily D’Amore Linda White Jane Bemis Carl Gustafson James Christian Frederick Thurberg 29
