Junior Class History Well, here we are Juniors, upper classmen if you prefer, with only one more year to go ! Our past, as far as activities go, isn’t much to look back on, but we can al- ways look ahead! That we are doing with much anticipation. Like all Juniors, we are eagerly awaiting the evening of our far-famed Jun- ior Prom . This we hope will be a sensation and we are striving to make it such I The Class Rings have been ordered, and we hope are on the way. Several of the Junior boys have joined the newly formed organization re- ferred to as The Boys ' Glee Club , which performed along with the SPECTAC- ULAR Girls ' Glee Club (in which a number of the Junior Girls participate) at the Open House Program --thanks to the Juniors. Our class headed the Presidental Campaign held the day before election, which gave all students the opportunity to vote. At the assembly we heard ten campaign speeches, some favoring the Democratic Party and some the Republi- can. We are looking forward whole-heartedly to our final year at Holbrook High, sincerely hoping to make it a year which we shall always remember as the Greatest I 25

This year, we have a class below us and we ' re not little Freshmen any longer. Next year we’ll be Juniors and in two years we ' ll be graduating. Tt really doesn ' t seem possible I We ' ve had a lot of fun and a lot of hard work in High School but it’s worth it all. For most of us have great ambitions --some that we will probably never realize, others that we will realize with hard work and effort. We have accomplished quite a bit in the short time that we have been at Holbrook High, and we hope to accomplish more in the years to come. This year our officers were as follows: President, Arlene Taber; Vice- President, Richard Connors; Secretary, Bette Flores: Treasurer, Marlene M ac- Pherson. Under their able leadership we have made great progress. We wish to thank our class advisers, too, for all the help they have given us. They are Mr. Di Benedetto, Mrs. Hooker, and Mr. Downey. We all hope that next year we will come back a stronger class and we also hope that we will all come back as Juniors.
