RUSSELL TILTON 308 South Franklin Street “Tiger” Reasonably Thoughtful Pool Photography Club 1; Tennis 3. D. A. R. CONVENTION By Claire Cote On March 21 I attended the D. A. R. Convention at the Copley Plaza in Boston. I was chosen to represent the Class of 1944 as the D. A. R. Good Citizen. Before 1 started on my trip, I was presented with a beautiful corsage by the class. My chaperon was Mrs. Ethel Smith from Attleboro, Mass. I also met the representatives from Avon, Belmont, and Rockland. At the meeting which was very interesting to watch, a girl’s name was selected from a box. This naturally was the most exciting part of the meeting as the winner, or chosen girl would win a $100 war bond in place of the usual trip to Washington. The representative from Plainville High was awarded the bond. The meeting was adjourned, and we girls went to the University Club for our luncheon. After we had eaten, we were shown a very interesting movie on travels through India. Back at the Copley Plaza we joined our chaperon and started on our way home after a very exciting day.
