JoAnn secretly has many admires, for instance, the two boys that comes home on vacations, one from Mechanlc School, in Augusta, and one from the U of M Beans spends quite a lot of his spare time up in the office, just in case the clocks go wrong Bunny is going to Nursing School in Bangor, and as near as we can tell Danny is going to attend the U. of M instead of Ricker. ' 6 Semen pfdq M104 X The annual play of Hodgdon High School was pre ented by the Senlors thls year on December 25, 1949 The play, Under Twenty by Dana Thomas was under the directlon of Anne Libbv Our play revolved around a pair of petite, but qtick moving twlns, Cyrnie and Jamie, who were Rowena Higgins and Clifton horan They managed to keep their parents, Mr and Mrs Hewlitt CKenneth Neal and Bunny Mascnb in trouble constantly Other characters of interest were: Ruth Gilson, an old maid, which was played by Gloria Crane, Joseph Hansen, the town policeman, played by William Cogswellg and Benny Bitner KDanny Grifflnl, a young delinquent. Other characters in the play were: Darleen Hewlitt CJoAnn Bartonbg her fiancee, Harold Crandall played by Paul Nunroeg his mother, Lois Harrington, Darryle Hewlitt, a brother, for whom the twins caused innumerable problems, was played by John Whitedg while Dorothy Sloat played the part of Lucille Garrison, his girl friend, Jerry Battles CForrest Adairl, Mrs. Baylor lAudrey Duffl. Those assisting were: Leta Williams, make-up, Ruby Marshall, prrpertiesg Louise Schools, costumes, Virginia Howard, prompter and Wendell Rockwell, stave manager. The plays were presented to raise money in benefit of those in the speaking contest at the University of Maine. The Freshman play, NHis First Shave' was chosen to compete in the Kathadin Valley League Contest on March 24.
