.-A - - ' K 1 l l ,Q- The Seventh, Eighth and Ninth Grade students participated in a cake auction. The cakes were voluntarily made b the students and were sold for the money that was collectedlin the social studies classes daily. The more money that was collected, the more cake that social studies class was able to buy. Over 51500.00 was collected and will be used to hold the Ninth Grade banquet which is held at the end of the year. REWARD ASSEMBLY aw w . The Faculty of Hoecker Grove gave a reward assembly for those students who were not referred to the office andfor had no more than two tardies. All the names were put into a basket and those drawn received prizes. The prizes ranged from Chiefs tickets to free pizza.

Two former Hocker Grove students, Doug Crocket and Todd Shultz, demonstrated ceramic techni ues to the art classes. They demonstrated throwing the wcheel and raku firing. Both graduating from Shawnee Mission North, they now work for the district in the Audio-Visual Department. f

NK. 'D ' ,f- rdffwe Early this year rock-n-roll band, Free-Fare, gave one concert during school. Later that week, another was performed int e evening, including an airguitar contest. The PTSAXQSP annual magazine sale brought in over 57,000. The profits went into the budget to help pay for activities, such as Cultural Arts Day and the special breakfast speakers. The students should be commended for their hard work and enthusiasm. A099 K
