N awk' THANKS FOR CARING Dr. Gilhousen and David Moore came to Hocker to talk about drunk-driving. David gave a candid talk to the students about his experience with drinking and driving. Dr. Gilhousen, an orthop'edic surgeon, showed slides of the victims of drunk drivers. This discussion opened some peoples eyes to what actually happens and may make them stop and think. .N f Ibm

RENAISSANCE As a great warm-up for their Shakespeare Unit, Ms. Drummond's 5th hour English class went to the Renaissance Festival. The students loved the antics of the jugglers, jesters. fencers, executioners, etc. Some of them participated with the performers. One student took part in a street jester's pranks and another tried his hand at fencing. Mary Hibbs and the Acapella choir per- formed at the Festival. 4--Q + '?
