Assemblies Spark Interest In the 1986-87 school year, the student body enjoyed chapels and assemblies cover- ing a wide variety of topics including clergymen of various faiths, student presen- tations of AFS and other learning ex- periences, and the famous talent assemblies. In addition, there were scenes from plays, the mixed choir, and, of course, visits from Marksmen to encourage Hockaday’s par- ticipation in joint activities. : (Above middle left) Spinning through an exotic jazz routine. On December 13, the dining room was transformed into Santa’s workshop for the 1986 Christmas Formal. The sponsors of the event were the Student Council, the House Council, the Athletic Board, and the Fine Arts Board who all worked diligently to make the evening such a success.
