10 Dedication: Mr. Tom Walker The Senior class of 1987 and the editorial staff of Cornerstones proud- ly dedicate this 86-87 edition to Mr. Thomas Walker. An English teacher at Hockaday for eleven years, Mr. Walker was chairman of the depart- ment for four. He takes a genuine interest in each individual student and strives to help her reach her potential academically and personally. In ad- dition, he has expanded his role in the community life of Hockaday by serving as the sponsor of the Honor Council since its founding. Further- more, he has been a consultant for the Advanced Placement Committee in the Southwest and the sponsor of the Fourcast. He is greatly admired for his gentle nature and quiet ways; Tom Walker has truly touched the lives of many Hockaday students and faculty.
