All kinds of friendships await us at Hockaday. From the moment the Welcoming Committee launches the vear to the last tearful graduation hug, we are surrounded by invitations to friendship. Faculty pals, big and little sisters, and athletic sponsors offer formal avenues for making friends. Everyday gestures of friendship abound: birth- day posters covering lockers, lower school girls holding hands, teachers and students laughing together. Friends carry us through difficult times and share our special moments. Once we decide to reach out to others, we will find friendships that will last a lifetime.
