There are special places outdoors, also. The teardrop garden is always a favorite place to spend a study hall, and the playground is where younger girls relax. The school ex- ists to promote growth, with the ycornerstones as guidelines. The gi WW' experiences of each student on the campus influence the direction of her growth, and without such ex- tensive facilities, many of these experiences would not be possi- ble. In the past three years, Hockaday itself has grown. First, in 1983 the Science Center and Lecture Hall were completed. Then in 1984 the Ashley Priddy Lower School met the need for more growing room for the younger daisies. And this year saw the completion of a remodel- ed dining room and Tarry House. All of these additions to the cam- pus have allowed a broader range of courses and services to be of- fered to the growing I-lockaday students.
