Building Up . . . Computers The computer skills a typical Hockaday student possesses at the end of her high school career, puts her well on her way in a world of technology foreign to many. The curriculum includes computer from the third through the twelfth grade — ten full years of important ex- posure. In all, Hockaday has eighty-seven micro-computers available for student use and a Wang mini-computer which handles all student schedules and business functions of the school.

Building Up . . . Spirit The increase in spirit this year at Hockaday has gone un- noticed by few. From birthday to faculty appreciation signs, the student body has made a super effort to show everyone how much spirit Hockadaisies can generate! Each form was given an opportunity to display its spirit with participation in Form Feud , a game in which spectators of Hockaday athletic events were tallied according to their respective forms. This increased attendance at athletic events, and the encouraging cheers from well-attended pep rallies were due to the enthusiastic efforts by the Hockaday girls elected as the 1983-84 St. Marks and Cistercian Cheerleaders who went all out this year to get everyone psyched up with spirit . . . and they did it!! Building Up . . . Athletics Athletics, one of the Hockaday Cor- nerstones, continued this year to motivate Hockaday students toward individual and team achievements. In terms of varsity sports, they are appealing to many girls seeking competition and improvement of skill. Hockaday ' s reputation for athletic achieve- ment continues to spread among other girls ' schools in the Southern Preparatory Conference.
