12 Dedication The graduating class of 1983 proudly dedicates this edition of the Hockaday Cornerstones to Miss Idanelle McMurry and Mrs. Helen Lorenz. Miss McMurry and the senior class both being freshmen in 1979, have developed a strong affection for each other over the four years. Not only is Miss Mac, as she is known by the girls, an excellent administrator, she is also a true friend and confidante to the students. She is always willing to help the girls with any needs or concerns they might have. The seniors of ‘83 would like to express their deepest admiration and gratitude to Miss Mac for her hard work and dedication to Hockaday. For the past two years Mrs. Helen Lorenz has been a Form Sponsor for the Class of 1983. She is continually giving advice, suggestions and sheer support to the seniors in all of the activities they have pursued. The seniors are grateful to Mrs. Lorenz for taking time out of her busy schedule as Head of the Foreign Language Department to become an active member of the Class of ’83. For this the seniors wish to dedicate the annual to Miss McMurry and Mrs. Lorenz.
