Somewhat quiet and retiring, she is one of .strong determination and will for ac- complishment. This is reflected in her splendid contri- butions to the Four-cast, the Math Club, and Entre Nous. Jane has an intuitive understanding of others, She is a loyal friend and spirited companion. She has con- tributed generously of her time and energies to the welfare and progress of the Fourth Form. LINDA ASHBY Dallas, Texas Attended Hockaday: 2 years White Team: 1955-57 Varsity Letter: 195 5-56 Ring: 1957 Tu Tertulia: 1955-56 Math Club: 1955-56 Art Club: 1956-57 Typing Club: 1955-56 School Service Committee: 195 5-56 Linda Ashby, during her two years at Hockaday, has won many friends with her sincerity and friendly man- ner. The possessor of a truly generous nature, she has given freely of herself and her time, to make the lives of others happier. She has spent many weekends at Hockaday with the boarders, and they have spent many weekends in her home. Fun-loving, Linda has en- thusiastically led her class as a cheerleader, and has been an active patron of Tarry House. A true Hockadaisy, were glad to have been classmates of Linda's, and wish her luck at college.

LINDA BAILEY Dallas, Texas Attended Hockaday: IVZ years White Team: 1956-57 Cheerleader: 1956-57 Ring: 1957 Art Club: 1956 Annual Staff: 1956-57 Annual Photography Editor: 1956-57 Chairman of Dad's Day: 1957 Vitality, wit, and energy are three little words that most aptly describe Linda Bailey. Although Linda has been with us only since early March of last year, she is a vital part of the class and a true Hockaday girl in every sense of the word. She has proved invaluable through her hard work as photography editor of the Annual, and Chairman of Dadls Day. As a friend, Linda is unsur- passed. Her loyalty and ability to 'be there when a friend is needed are perhaps her finest qualities. Her sparkling wit is just another reason Linda is beloved by her class- mates and teachers. We all know Hockaday will miss Linda next year and Good Luck to you, Linda is just our way of saying thanks, and goodbye. Linda has chosen Texas University as her school for next year.
