Editor—Melissia Chesser Business Manager—Diane Cook Advisors—Macie Colvin James A. Ferguson TROJAN Nineteen Sixty-Seven HOBOKEN HIGH SCHOOL Hoboken, Georgia ADMINISTRA TION Such a short time ago you were entering school, now with mixed feelings concerning this important experience in your young lives, you arc departing. All of us go forward or backward because of some attrac- tion; such as, money, love, success, beauty, solitude, etc. To me the leadership of BEAUTY seems to outlure all else, for beauty brings nothing but happiness and it soothes and sweetens every inch of life's way. Just imagine what a world this would be without the lure of beauty. Take away the flowers, the green grass, the trees, the vari-colored leaves of Autumn, all kindness and nobility from people's hearts, all touch of beauty from the handiwork of men's hands, and what would one do? Every drop of incentive for life would be gone. As you go forward surround yourselves with beautiful things. Think beautiful thoughts. Perform beautiful acts and you cannot help but be happy. These things are the very atoms of happiness. The lure of love and beauty will lead you aright. The lure of mere money, vain glory, and false attraction will only accumulate pain and sorrow. SUPERINTENDENT Mrs. Mable R. Moody Remember too, that every right implies a responsibility; every opportunity, an obligation; every possession, a duty. To render a useful service is the common duty of mankind. Certainly, a devout belief in the all-loving God, an individual can attain his highest fulfillment and greatest happiness. I have a great faith in you and others like you that you will make this world a better place in which to live. Very Sincerely, Mable R. Moody Board of Education L. R.--E. G. Fowler, C. D. Gibson, V.
