COACH HODGES We started out with a lot of pep and courage. We didn't have time to get in shape before we played Roby and they beat us 7-6. Leuders brought their Pirates over and went back with a 20-0 licking, We started district play with Trent and beat them 19-0. Hermleigh came over next and beat us 25-6. They later won the district, Robert lee came over and went back sore and beat up after a score of 32-13. Bronte was our next opponent in which we tied them 19-19. The next one we should leave out, Coahoma, they beat us 34-0. We had a couple of easy victories over Divide and Ira. All the first stringers will remember the Ira game because they watched all of it from the side line. We beat Divide 52-13 and Ira 43-0. Loraine would have been the cream of the crop if we could have beat them. We came out with a 13-13 tie, That ended the football season for 25 boys of the Hobbs High School during the year of 1952 and the high school football for eight seniors and one sophomore,
