Bunting assumed the duties. At that time it was felt necessary to divide the duties of the Administration to make possible greater individual contact with the Hobart students. Dr. Bunting's office deals with many of the unpleasant duties of administra- tion, the enforcement of regulations and discipline, but there is still oppor- tunity for informal chats and friendly advice. The duties of the Associate Dean increased when President Potter died, but because of the ability of this office to absorb part of the shock, the Hobart students have received the proper personal contact, as was insisted upon by Dr. Potter. ll
