Marilyn Sanders Marilyn has completed many school assignments. extra-curricular tasks, and other assignments and always has done her best in the completion of the same. Discipline has been no problem with Marilyn as she respects authority and has been coopera- tive with both students and teachers. Like many of the girls of Hoaglin she enjoys her many home economic projects. Listening to music and read- ing good books occupy much of her time. Activities and projects: chorus, senior yearg ju- nior class play, and Y-Teens. Senzors Gladys Schaffer The witty gal who is always up-to-something and who knows when and where humor is ap- preciated. Gladys is the kind of person one enjoys being associated with and it certainly makes the workday for teachers and students more pleas- ant. Home economics was her favorite subject and many of her home economic projects were of a superior quality. Activities and offices: band, one year, chorus, three years, Y-Teens, four yearsg class treasurer, junior year, and in junior class play. Q5-as Frank Snyder Q ...,sW J- eit- The graduating class of this year could not have ' Q picked a better graduating class president than Frank. He was willing to exert maximum effort Y in conducting the affairs of his class. Sports and . l. A 5- Frank are synonomous as sports are his main A it interest. ' Janice Snyder as Clean, neat, accurate, prompt, and dependable are all traits which a good secretary should pos- sess. Janice fills the bill completely. The com- mercial subjects seem to be the courses that are best fitted for her because she has done her best work in this field, and she is highly recommended for any commercial type of job. Janice has been a top student and it has been a pleasure to have her in the classrooms. She has been a true and respected leader of the class. Ann Mace A very likeable girl who is a well adjustcd per- son. Ann has a good sense of humor and it is al- ways a privilege to be associated with her. Music is important to her and she will always be remem- bered as the number one base drummer of the band who kept a mean beat. Home economics was her favorite course and she enjoyed doing the many pro jects required for the completion of this course. Activities and projects: band, chorus, Y-Teens, four years, redcross representative, Junior and sc- nior years. Seniors ,y.leet. cjsa -vvi c 2 fg,V A'i H-fi Lave McCracken Athletics and academics sometimes do not go together, but Dave succeeded quite well with both, and found time to be the class entertainer with his timely hiunor. College is of prime importance in his future plans and he should succeed in his future endeavor. Accounting and electricity interest him and could be his future vocations. Carl Rogers Carl was always a leader in class administration and organization. He was a very dependable backer of the class, and school and his shoes will be hard to fill. His faithful study habits should give Carl the necessary background for college entrance which he is contemplating. Basketball was of pri- mary interest to Carl and he left us with many pleasant memories of some of his athletic feats. Activities and offices: basketball, four years, chorus, two years, band, and student council treas- urer, one yearg president of junior class, and vice- president of rendevous committee, Y.M.C.A. Delores Roth Paulding county's gift to us has been valuable in many respects. Delores has obtained the nickname of Chief and she certainly has lived up to this title. She has been a leader in just about every ac- tivity she has participated in, which has been many. She possesses all the traits of a respected leader and will certainly! make a prom- ising citizen after graduation. Academically, Delores has few peers, if any, in the school. Let's hope that Delores seeks higher education after high school. A book could be Written on her many interests. activities, and offices but a list of the important ones will suffice. Carl Stewart Carl possesses all the characteristics of a good citizen-co-operative, dependable, a willing worker, and well-mannered. Industrial arts was important to Carl and he completed many fine projects as a result. Biology was also one of his favorite subjects. That red car of his is one of the most looked after vehicles in the township and re- ceives constant attention. Activities and class offices: basketball, four years, baseball, three years, band, two years, chorus, four years, and red cross. Semors Pat Taylor The most active graduating student certainly is Pat. She engaged in just about every activity she was qualified to enter, and yet was an outstanding student. To say she is an extravert is putting it mildly . She is personality plus and the possessor of an ample supply of charm and poise. Undoubtedly she was the most outstand- ing graduate in music. Rightfully, she has been chosen as our Peony Queen candidate and she will be an excellent representative. Pats' active participation in activities and devotion to studies is an example of good leadership. Activities and Offices: band, majorette, chorus Y-Teens, four years, girls trio, three years, class officer, girls sextet, and chori- ster, two years, and junior class play. Danny Thatcher Mr. Sports is the title that Danny is pinned with. One of the most out standing all-around athletes to ever graduate from Hoaglin- Jackson. An athlete like Danny comes about once in every twenty years and he has left us with many happy memories of his athletic powers. Academics were not slighted by Danny as he is an above- average student. Despite his many accomplishments he has a pleas- ing personality and is a very modest person. One of the outstanding baseball pitchers to ever attend Hoaglin and also a very valuable member of an outstanding basketball team. Larry was one of the top students in most of his courses and he offered much in participation in classroom work. Science is his favorite subject.
