The men of the community donated their time and effort to get this completed. The number of men working averaged from 10 to 15 a day. Someworked consecutive days and others Worked as their farm work allowed them. The trucks were donated by Rudy and Wendell Ad- ams and the elevators by the Scott Elevator and residents of the community. The Etter Tile Company of Dupont donated the tile. It put wasted space to good use. It was a three-act com- .y which took place in a hotel. The action centered around Ju-Ju , a Cannibal Queen with re husbands Who was brought to the states by a nephew of a rich professor for publicity in the ,pers. , l V- - if page ., -1 'X ,Q Ui pgys Asif PAT TAYLOR OUR PEONY CANDIDATE At the beginning of each new year, the girls of the Senior Class have one contest in which they will participate, the choosing of the Peony'Candidate to represent their school. This year the upper six grades and the fac- ulty picked our candidate, Pat Taylor, and announced it at the annual Farmers' Institute. Pat is an active girl in her class and in the school. She is scholastically in the upper twenty-five percent of her class. She is 5' 7 tall Sz weighs 125 pounds. Her radiant smile and pleasing personality makes her an asset to Hoaglin-Jackson. She has great music ability which is put to use by her band, chor- us, Senior Trio, and Triple Trio membership. Many hours have been spent and will be spent before the selection of the Peony Queen on April 9th, and the parade on June 11.
