A ,,.,.,v . .,W :ia .sv 'fig is se i Class History In the year 1946. 17 boys and 13 girls eargerly started their journey through school, with each lccessive year gaining and losing students. We started Junior-High with 25 students looking forward to the day we would become Seniors. luring our last six years we lost the following students: Donald Michael, Myles Parsons, and Bill lavis. We were also sorrowed by the death of Jimmy Prichard in the 7th grade. We also wel- Jmed three new students who were Gladys Shaffer, Pat Taylor, and Delores Roth. In our Junior year we had the concessions at the home basketball games and our class play Hillbilly Weddin' under the direction of Mr. Chapman our class sponsor. We also honored the 7 Seniors with a colorful prom. Now We are Seniors and graduation is coming closer and closer. We all say we will be glad to 2 out but really we all enjoy school and will hate to leave it and all the happy experiences it rought us. In our Senior year, as a memorial tn the school, we presented a Hi-Fi phonograph layer. We have used this at a dance and a class party. Along with all the other things the Senior class had to do, we picked our class colors which were atin and blue and crystal white. The class flower is red roses. Our class motto is Our Goal is iuccessf' As our class is the largest in high school and although things become a little complicated once 1 awhile we are all proud of such a large class and would hate to lose any of them. With such a ass, we are now anxiously planning and working hard on our class trip. Mr. and Mrs. Dean will be lr sponsors and We are sure that they can show us a good time. XS 34' is 41 A X5 Q 2 7' Glenwood Adams Lloyd Stewart Carl McClure - Clerk The School Board this year consisted of Paul Swartz as President, Glen Rager, Dean Knittle: Lloyd Stewart and Menford Yoh who was replaced by Glenwood Adams in January. Carl McClure acted as clerk. l Their main project this year was the building of dressing rooms under the stage. They have installed the cafeteria counter, new typewriters, and the library obtained some very interesting books. We would like to thank the board for their co-operation with the teaching staff, and school a- a wholeg and their diligent labor to make it a school We can be proud to attend. .Ex .. . Qs 1 fi ff! Darlene Baker Doyle Adams He has improved as a student more than anyone else, perhaps due to the influence of Janice Snyder. Doyle was cooperative, dependable and unassuming. These qualities made him a favorite with teachers. Neatness and good grooming are trademarks of Doyle and his physical appearance has always been of a superior quality. Biology was his favorite sub- ject and he also completed many fine shop-projects. Activities and offices: band and basketball, one year, student council freshman and senior, and class plays. Seniors Being po Jular sometimes makes one conceited l but not is the case with Darlene. Attractiveness and a pleasant attitude seem to go hand-in-hand with good students who are also very active in extra-curricular activities-this is true of Darlene. Darlene did very well in commercial subjects and mathematics. She is a serious student and would make good college material. One characteristic of hers which stands above the others is dependabil- ity. Her participation in the Senior trio has certain- ly been appreciated. Much of her spare time is spent in bowling, skating, and collecting records. Actvities and class offices: chorus, three years, Y-Teens, four years, vice-president of Y-Teens, one year, band, one year, and 4-H, two years. Jan Dunlap The gentleman, manager of the basketball and baseball teams-that's our Jan. He was very help- ful to the athletic department and his many hours of devotion are thankfully appreciated. His small- ness in stature is more than compensated by his bold spirit and pleasant attitude. Riding motor- scooters and roller skating occupy a large part of his spare time. Activities: chorus, one year, basketball mana- ger, junior and senior, baseball manager, freshman and sophomore, and junior class play. Wayne is quiet and a bit shy but gets along well with everybody. Aca- demics have been important to Wayne and he has shown much interest in many of his subjects. De- mocracy and science courses were his favorites, even though good grades are more difficult to get in these courses. He likes to collect historical arti- cles and to read interesting books on history. Ag- riculture clubs have occupied much of his spare time.
